Mission Statement
"We are a nonprofit organization that serves women in business through community service and, education while providing a forum for women in business to network and support each other for mutual success."
With service to women in mind, our nonprofit organization brings women in business together to help the women and children of our community by supporting Sloan House Emergency Women’s Shelter with cash and or in-kind donations. We also raise funds, through raffles at our monthly meetings, to provide scholarships for women reentering college at Sonoma State University and Santa Rosa Junior College. Some of the recipients are now members of Connections. These meetings provides us with a golden opportunity to build relationships, learn about business, exchange expertise, and network with one another. And, interestingly enough, many women have formed lasting friendships, have a wealth of advisors and practioners with whom they do business with as well.
Community Service:
An integral part of success is being involved and expanding your network.
Connections raises funds to help support higher education re-entry grants for women attending Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State University. We also encourage members to establish community affiliations and to volunteer within this organization.
Education:
Member meetings are rich with education, inspiration, motivation, and fellowship.
Our speakers are specially selected to serve our ever evolving needs. We promote keys for success such as clarity, credibility, and visibility. Members often have an opportunity to practice their newly learned skills during our regular meetings.
Networking:
We share ideas, meals, referral sources, and resources.
We network by regularly attending meetings, socializing, establishing relationships in and out of meetings, sharing about our business endeavors and community affiliations, and acknowledging other member services and referrals during portions of our fun filled, structured, and unique meetings.
