who we are
Connections is a regionally recognized membership organization of women business owners and professionals with a commitment to business success and our community. Since 1994, the success of Connections has been based on the personal contribution of each member.
Our organization offers three core
areas where women join together for mutual success.
- Networking: the sharing of ideas, contacts and business referrals; giving and receiving business. Connections members network by attending meetings, exchanging business cards, referring business and by expressing gratitude during acknowledgements. Members frequently state that the initial step of establishing personal relationships with Connections women is then rewarded with an increase in business and referrals.
- Education: teaching and learning specific skills; the imparting of knowledge, positive judgment and wisdom. Education occurs at each meeting with the speaker’s presentation and through articles published in the LINK. The goal is to educate members so that they can make informed strategic decisions to expand their business opportunities. In addition, members offer seminars, workshops and teleseminars that educate members, the local community and beyond.
- Community Service: a service that a person or organization provides for the benefit of her local community. Connections San Rafael group supports the Marin Abused Women’s Services. Members actively give to Sonoma State University and Santa Rosa Junior College reentry scholarship recipients by donating to and purchasing raffle tickets at dinner meetings. Members also support Circle of Sisters and the Santa Rosa Women’s Shelter through the annual September gala fundraiser and individual donations.
